Sam Lyon's love of aviation since childhood led him down the road to his present career as a world-renowned aviation artist. His paintings can be found at military bases, museums, aviation gift shops, and in pilots' art collections throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. Through his membership in the Air Force Art Program, Sam's painting "Lead Solo" graces the Air Force Art Hall in the Pentagon.

"Flying is - THE PITTS" portrays a beautiful red and white Pitts aircraft performing awesome maneuvers over a summer airshow with numerous other aerobatic and general aviation aircraft, and a hot air balloon on display. If you look closely, you can even spot Bob Hoover's yellow Mustang in the painting. This print is produced on acid-free, neutral-pH paper with permanent inks and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. It is 15.5" x 19.5".
