Luscombe's Golden Age is the fifth book in The Golden Age of Aviation Series.

John Swick, the author, has completely revised and updated the original The Luscombe Story published in 1987, including approximately 100 new pages of text, dozens of never-before published photographs and Luscombe magazine ads from that era.

Included in this book are detailed accounts and descriptive 3-view scale drawings of each Luscombe model manufactured, including the early models: Phantom, Ghost, Spectre, Harpie, Small Transport and Sprite. Also included are all the details and drawings of Luscombe's later and more popular models: Luscombe 50, Luscombe 65, Luscombe Silvare models: 8A, 8C, 8D, 8E, Model 10, Model 11A, Luscombe Pusher Model 12, Model X11, Model 8F, military Model T8F, 11C, Model 8G, and the Weatherly-Campbell Colt.

The book includes the details on Don Luscombe, other members of the management and engineering teams, and the efforts and successes of the company after Luscombe left the company in 1939. The management of Leopold H.P. Klotz is delved into, along with the management and production of Temco. This is far the most complete book ever published on the Luscombe aircraft, facilities and staff. The book even brings readers up-to-date with recent challenges for control of the Luscombe rights.
