GPS Training - Jeppesen CFI Toolset Garmin G1000 Visual Tools

The G1000 Visual Tools is a Computer Aided Instructional (CAI) application for use by CFIs. It's a valuable tool to teach pilots transitioning from "steam gauge" cockpits to Garmin glass flight desk. The program is designed to help flight instructors visually convey to students the key concepts about the G1000 Primary Flight Display (PFD) and navigation principles.

The program can be used in a ground school classroom setting for both one-on-one and group training sessions. It includes integrated lesson plans that enable the instructor to increase training effectiveness. Also included is a basic flight maneuvers section, which dynamically demonstrates how key phases of flight are depicted on the G1000 PFD.
