Designed by AvShop to meet the unique needs of today's pilot, the Illuminaviator maximizes operational flexibility by offering two light sources and a complete array of included accessories. Powered by 2 'AA' batteries, the Illuminaviator combines the best attributes of LED and incandescent lights. Three red LED bulbs provide illumination in a dark cockpit without disrupting night vision adaptation. A simple click of the push button on top of the light clicks on the red LEDs. The highly efficient and durable LED bulbs will burn for dozens of hours on one set of batteries and are rated for 100,000 overall hours of use. For preflight inspections or other activities where additional candlepower is needed, a bright, white Xenon bulb throws a powerful beam. To prevent actuation of the white Xenon bulb in the cockpit, disrupting dark adaptation, the controls for the Xenon bulb are on a separate switch, manipulated using the tailcap of the light. Pressing on the tailcap turns on the Xenon bulb momentarily. Twisting the tailcap clockwise turns on the Xenon light. Twisting the tailcap counter-clockwise past the 'momentary' setting locks out the Xenon bulb. User Guide The barrel of the Illuminaviator is high-grade aircraft aluminum, textured to improve your grip in slippery conditions. This flashlight will also be easy to find in your flight bag, thanks to its matte silver finish. The included nylon holster has an external pocket for an additional set of 'AA' batteries, a high-quality snap to secure the light and can either be worn on your belt or attached to a bag. The hook and loop strap on the holster integrates gracefully with Oakley's Adaptable Payload line of bags and accessories. In addition to a set of 'AA' batteries and a spare Xenon bulb, a nylon wrist lanyard is included in the package, making the Illuminaviator the most feature-packed and versatile LED flashlight we've seen. The 3 Red LEDs in the Illuminaviator are rated at about 10 lumens and will last for approximately 100,000 hours of continuous use.
