Detailed line art, dynamic shaded perspectives, and recognition silhouettes make this collection a must in the presentation of aviation issues.

This CD-ROM contains 4940 easy-to-use images you can use in presentations, newsletters, resumes, advertisements, Web sites and many other purposes.

Features:

  • Nearly every version of every Western civilian production aircraft, both fixed-wing and rotary, is represented, from the Concorde to the Piper Cub.
  • Most models have a profile view, and the more common models also have plan and/or 3-D perspective views.
  • Odds and ends like simulators, regulatory images, and registration numbers are also included.
  • Corporate logos for major manufacturers and airlines are included and can be used royalty-free.
  • Images are in high-resolution, easily-scalable Encapsulated Postscript (.eps) file format that is the standard in the graphic arts industry.
  • All images are fully licensed and may be used royalty-free in advertising and other commercial applications.
  • Works in both Mac and Windows.

Hardware & Software Requirements:
Civil Aviation Clip Art will work with any software application that allows you to import, place or open Encapsulated Postscript (*.EPS) files. For maximum editing capability, it is recommended to use Adobe Illustrator, MacroMedia Freehand, CorelDraw! or any other illustration application. Some presentation applications, such as Microsoft PowerPoint, will allow the user some editing capability as well. All popular software applications for presentations, publications or word processing will allow the user to place and resize an EPS file anywhere within the document.

System Requirements:
Windows:

  • An IBM PC or compatible computer.
  • Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher.
  • CD ROM player.
  • At least 4 MB RAM.
Macintosh:
  • Macintosh with 68020 processor or better.
  • Apple System 6.05 or higher.
  • CD-ROM player.
  • At least 4 MB RAM.
  • A PostScript printer.

The following is a partial list of software applications supporting the EPS format. Please be sure to use the latest versions, as some of the older versions are unable to support this file format (e.g. Harvard Graphics for Windows will support EPS, but Harvard Graphics for DOS will not):

Adobe Illustrator Concurrence Micrographix Designer
Adobe Premiere CorelDRAW! Microsoft PowerPoint
Adobe IntelliDraw Cricket Draw Presents
Adobe PageMaker Frame Maker QuarkXPress
Adobe Persuasion Harvard Graphics SUN Draw
Am (or AmPro) Hollywood Ventura Publisher
Arts and Letters Island Graphics MacroMedia Freehand
AutoCAD 12 Lotus Freelance Microsoft Word
Deneba Canvas MacDraw Pro WordPerfect

About EPS Files:
An Encapsulated PostScript (EPS) file is an "object oriented" file, meaning that it stores a graphic file as a set of mathematical descriptions of paths and fills for redrawing the image, rather than save individual pixels like a bitmap does. Object oriented files are independent of the limitations of resolution - the quality of the printed document will always be the highest quality available from the printer.

These illustrations can be resized infinitely without loss of resolution or detail, and they are fully editable. PostScript will always print at the maximum resolution available from your printer. These Windows files contain a Windows Metafile (*.WMF) encapsulation, which will print from any laser printer.

The artwork is designed so that the end user can use it 'as is' or benefit from the editing features of the illustrations (intelligent grouping, Pantone color matching, pie chart graphics, color trapping, etc.). Even the novice user can create stunning presentations by utilizing these features as described in the manuals which accompany the artwork.
