Prepare for both the Instrument rating and
Commercial certificate FAA exams and checkrides!

Many students prepare for their commercial certificate and instrument rating simultaneously in order to cut expenses and expedite the training process. Bob Gardner's Complete Advanced Pilot, now in its second edition, gives you everything you need to continue your training beyond the private certificate and pursue both programs.

As with the other titles in the popular Complete Pilot series, this well-illustrated book covers all of the necessities for a complete flight training program, including the aeronautical knowledge requirements necessary for passing the FAA Knowledge Exams. Yet such material comprises less than half of the text: the rest is solid information that you must know but which the FAA doesn't ask you about. The author's writing style is clear, conversational and easy to understand; his ability to teach and keep the subject matter interesting is what makes the Complete Pilot series surpass its competition. His books are equally useful for home study and classroom use.

Preparing for the Flight Test

"To make the complex simple is the accomplishment of the capable teacher. The need to share and give and uplift are attributes of a person of quality. I find Bob's book exceptionally readable, splendidly sectioned for ready reference for virtually any topic, and supplemented with the caliber of personal experience that integrates "technique" into "procedure" with mastery...Gardner has always met the definition of a good teacher, wanting you to know everything he's learned, in ways you can employ it, and to gain the confidence that you have become an enlightened and safe pilot..." --Dave Gwinn, aviation writer, writing in the Foreword to The Complete Advanced Pilot.
