Covers Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming.
Created to prepare VFR pilots for flying into the busy environment of a tower-controlled airport in a high-density traffic area, the Optima Pilot's Guides set the standard for what an airport guide should be.
Each guide has five full pages for each tower-controlled airport covering:
- All the standard airport data (frequencies, arrival information, runway and pattern information)
- Instructions to expect from the tower
- A fold-out approach map with drawings of the visual reporting points that the tower uses;
- A detailed airport surface map showing taxiways, FBOs, transient parking and fuel islands;
- A full listing of services offered by each FBO.
Each non-tower airport has a half page with similar comprehensive detail. The Guide has over 400 pages and more than 800 photographs, maps and diagrams. Pilots Guide to Northwestern Airports is revised three times a year and the price includes the first year's revisions.
5 1/2" x 8 1/2" pages ring-bound in a 7 1/2" x 9" x 1 3/4" blue, orange or green vinyl binder.
Revision Service: Optima Pilot's Guides are revised three times per year, in February, June, and October. A renewal notice is sent after the year of Revision Service has expired. Renewal for another year is $26.00. An annual checklist is provided with each February Revision so you can make sure your Pilots Guide is complete and up-to-date.
