Stop guessing! Always know how much fuel is remaining with these handy gauges.
Each year, scores of preventable accidents result from pilots miscalculating the amount of fuel they have remaining in their tanks. You can't trust light plane fuel gauges, but you can completely trust these handy Fuel Hawk gauges.
Made of heavy, clear plastic, each "Fuel Hawk" works like a drinking straw: simply insert into the fuel tank until it touches bottom, put your finger over the end, lift it from the tank, and read from the graduation markings on the side. They're ideal for when you need to take a less-than-full fuel load due to weight considerations or when you're not quite sure how much is really in there.
Choose from the following seven options:
- Cessna 152: Calibrated for 12 gallons usable per tank, 11" long.
- Cessna 172: Calibrated for 19 gallons usable per tank, 11" long.
- Cessna 172: Calibrated for 26.5 gallons usable per tank, 11" long.
- Cessna 182: Calibrated for 39 gallons usable per (bladder tanks
only) tank, 11" long.
- Cessna 182: Calibrated for 43.5 gallons usable per tank, 11" long.
- Universal: Can be calibrated for aircraft with any size tank, 11" long.
- Universal XL: Can be calibrated for aircraft with an unusually deep
tank or a wingtip tank, 16" long.
Fuel Hawk comes pre-calibrated in U.S. gallons.
