The battery and button section hangs inside the pocket, lowering its center of gravity and making for a stable source of illumination. It also extends lower than the pivoting LED section outside of the pocket, making the button easy to press through the fabric of your shirt. The button's broad and contoured edges make it easy to feel what  your are doing while you keep your eyes where they are supposed to be.

The real brilliance of the QuiqLite is in the pivoting LED and clip mechanism. While the clip remains secure on the edge of your shirt pocket, the LED pivots from the top edge, up to about an 80 degree angle.
