I own a 980 Piper Archer and found that the compression had dropped to below 60# in two of the cylinders. I was considering the cost of replacing the cylinders when I came upon your product. After using it for approximately 6 months I found that the compression had gone up dramatically in those cylinders to a safe level negating the need for replacement.

I give this four stars with reservation. I have one of those Continental O300-D engines that has sticky valve guides. I lost my engine, because of these valve guides sticking, at 3,500 feet over North Carolina. Fortunately, I was able to make it to an airport in Clinton, NC.....nice FBO people there....Anyway, since the engine repair, I have been using AV Blend with no further problems. At the first full annual since using AV Blend, I will check the guides and do an addendum to this review. In the meantime, is it the AV Blend that makes my O300-D run smoothly?....it certainly is not hurting and it does give me confidence.

It's superior to ALL friction fighters I have used. Typical fuel consumption dropped by about .2 gph or better, high altitude operating temperatures dropped just under 10 degrees centigrade in cruise, in my Arrow II, with the IO-360-C1C when I used it religiously. On teardown, negligible valve stem wear and minimal engine wear throughout at TBO. In short, if you're not running it now, you are wearing your power plant out for no good reason. Well worth the price over and over and over again.

So, who can really tell for sure if this goo really works? All I can say is that my O-320D seems to spin-up a bit easier when it's cold. My A&P believes that it will HELP prevent build-up on my valve stems, and he should know, he has been around aircraft engines for 50 years...so I USE IT!

AvBlend has cut down significantly on the amount of trash in the oil filter since I started using it on my Piper Seneca. Great product, well worth the money.

I have battled with Oil Analysis showing that my new Millennium II cylinders were showing accelerated wear rates. I first found that I was too lean at full power, with that corrected I still had poor wear rates showing in the analysis reports. After a lot head scratching and in desparation I switched from Marvel Mystery Oil to Avblend, Voila! All wear rates dropped dramatically to the normal range! I am a believer.
