Comments: This DVD is a good look at some real life emergencies (mostly IFR related). The DVD would be a good purchase by a flight instructor or flight school that wants to use it as a training tool. The DVD shows how pilots and ATC need to work together to solve an emergency situation. As a CFII, I can see myself watching a scene with a student and then discussing what the pilot could have done better. However, I must admit I thought the DVD was rather short. It is only around 60 minutes. Most of the emergencies are also just audio with a static picture. In other words, this might have been a better CD instead of a DVD. I would have enjoyed it more if additional graphics and video were used.
