Comments: I take this light with me on every flight and every hiking/camping trip. I also use it when working on my car, when running wires between computers in the dark corners behind my desk... basically anytime I need to see in the dark, I reach for my Zipka. Be sure to get the Zipka Plus, because it has four settings instead of just an on/off switch. The first (brightest) setting is great for preflighting my airplane at night, bicycling at night, exploring caves.. anything that requires a lot of light. The third (power-saving) setting is great for when I need a light in the cockpit at night, since it's bright enough to read anything but not so bright that it would impact my night vision significantly. It's also bright enough to walk along a familiar trail. There's also a fourth (bright white flashing) setting that could be useful in emergencies. My Zipka Plus weighs nothing, will never burn out, never ties up my hands, and is always there when I need it.

Comments: This is a good light, but I find it too bright for cockpit use. It doesn't get dim enough to be useful. I recommend the less expensive Zipka for in-cockpit use. This light is very bright and great for preflight/postflight operations.

Comments: only reason I didnt give 5 stars is cos I havent had it for a long time, so its yet to stand the "test of time", and also, it would be nice if the light could be redirected without turning ur head, but I beleive they have a model that has this feature. otherwise its great, light intensities are perfect. battery life is awesome, and I've found it to be very useful outside the cokpit as well!
