Best there is! This fuel tester is well worth more than a 5 star rating. It's rigid and compact. The feature I like the most is the metal rod that's used on the fuel drain valve to drain the tank. On ASA's fuel tester there is no such thing but a flimsy, no-good plastic drainer that would always come loose and eventually breaks off. You don't have to worry about any messy fuel spills on your hands 'cause this tester has a detachable lid you can place along the top of the tester to aid it to get the fuel mess-f

I've always used the fuel tester that came with the rental aircraft I flew. Now that I've purchased an aircraft, I only accept the best. This fuel tester fit my needs perfectly. The spill-proof top is a major benefit, eliminating the fuel-stained hands prior to takeoff. The top also comes off for easy storage, which was originally a concern of mine as well. Highly recommended.

This is about the best tester on the market for my money. The cheaper ASA testers with the plastic rod are OK for Pipers where the rod isn't used, but break after about a dozen uses if you have to use it on a Cessna. Consider the brass rod mandatory, unless your plane doesn't use the rod. The larger cup attachment is a great addition to keep from getting soaked in gas. Without it,in a wind, only about half the gas goes into the tester. The bigger cup-type testers work OK, but are bulky and a pain to store. This one stores smaller, but I would like to see the two parts snap together a little tighter.
