Comments: This is one of those middle-of-the-road books that surely ends up in your lap because 'you.re a pilot.' The thought that a destination is the best part of flying sometimes belays the joy in its namesake. This book does a wonderful job at highlighting how to enjoy a location if you.re not familiar with even the basics of GA air travel. It is concise at finding local airports, if not the best overall choices. The .Best Places to Stay. does a great job in separating those with High-Performance/Retractables from those without. It is also useful in selecting a starting point if not simply gauging the cost factor in the overall trip experience. The websites, admission costs, airport runway lengths, and several phone numbers help all simplify the arduous tasks of planning the aviation trip. The format is repeated and allows plenty of information to be referenced while still allowing at least a paragraph to describe the attraction.
