Received the 600C on a Wednesday and did a 450nm cross country the next day. Unit was very intuitive and easy to use. There are a large number of different map and navigation pages (I found myself using the map with compass overlay most of the time). Programming my route(s) was simple, and the manual wasn't too thick. At $500, this unit really fills a gap in portable, high-quality aviation units. Highly recommended.

For the most part I've been very pleased with this product. The major criticism I have about it, is that the brightness display is far too low (even with the backlight on). By comparison, the black and white version (500) was a much brighter display. Aside from the latter I like the unit.

The many functions available in this unit make it a useful airnav device and a good value for the price. From a design standpoint I have several criticisms: The battery compartment does not have the usual springs and a moderate amount of force is required to add/remove the batteries. The clasp on the battery compartment does not work smoothly. The keyboard has a noisy and slightly 'sticky' feel that the tech folks say is normal for all units. If you have big hands and fingers, removing the SD memory card is a challenge. The power plug from the cig/lighter cord does not connect/disconnect easily.
One should use a Magellan Meridian series (same size-not aviation)for design comparisons.

Had it almost for a year. After initial hangup problem and tech support to reset it, it has worked fine. If you use outside power source, make sure the internal batteries are good - it will not work w/o internal batteries. The unit is a real good bang for the buck. Used it in my plane for a good while now.
