I am an ex professional commericial pilot and flight instructor of 25 years and 4000 hours in real flying. So far in flight simming, I find FS2004 so far the best. FSX was just recently recieved and used. I find having to register it on-line to use should not be required. Many assume everyone is connected to the internet. This is not true. I find FSX missions very short compared to FS2004. I find FSX free flight much harder to use than FSX. I find the price of FSX very high for what you get compared to FS2004 that is still in stores right beside FSX. FS2004 users, you have the best there is in the long run, and there exsists a whole world of add-ons for FS2004 out there.

If you love flying but can't quite get a private license, then this is the game for you! No license for flying is necessary. The graphics are so good it is just as if you were in a real plane. You can even learn how to fly. Its just like real life except its inside the saftey of your own home.

If anyone has complaints about this game it is because it needs a really nice computer to get good results out of it. I am running a 2.4 ghz quad core, with 2 EVGA GTX's running SLI to a 30in HiDef dell flatscreen(res 2560x1600). I can turn up every graphics setting in other games no problem. Flight Sim X requires me to dumb a few settings to get a decent frames per second ratio. But I am running it with most settings maxed, and it is loads better than 2004 w/addons.
