excellent book for teaching comm. Not only was the book very thorough in radio communications, but it also gave some very important facts for classifications of airspace, FSS's, and emergency procedures.

Excellent guide for radio use. I like this book a lot. He presents practical situations and shows what to say and why. There are also useful explanations of the various airspace classes and on things to avoid. I think this book has helped me to communicate better -- more clearly as well as more briefly. One thing it really helped me with was in knowing what parts of ATC comms need to be acknowledged.

As a student pilot flying out of Class E airspace, I needed all the help I could get with tower communications. This clarified what I read in the AIM by presenting scenarios in a logical order. Being able to anticipate what might be said and requested next makes flying in busy areas less stressful and safer. I wish I'd read it prior to my first solo into Class D.

Good book, easy reading, and I agree with most of the other comments posted here... the only complaint that I have is that many of the examples (in the book) used for phraseology were not in full context...in other words, it would have been better if the author had included the previous line and next likely line in each communications dialogue scenario.

This is a great book. I could not put it down when I got it. I have learned things from it that I have not seen in any other manuals or books and have never been told. It goes into so much more than just talking on the radio. Has a wealth of info about airspace and how to operate in it.
